Some Picks From The Urban Outfitters Sale

First off, I want to say I'm not that big of an Urban Outfitters fan. Oops, I hope I haven't offended anyone... I just find it overpriced for what's it's worth, and a lot of the designs are bland. Not much catches my eye from there. I have to admit though, whenever I check out the sale - there are some pretty good stuff (now reasonably priced, haha).

Although I think they've gone downhill by taking the hipster route (seriously, I remember I got a ton of really cool clothes from there a few years back that wasn't all generic), I can occasionally find some stuff that I like. Of course, not everyone will agree with me on this. Love their stuff? Great, go ahead and express yourself with their clothes. :)

The first thing that grabbed my attention was this:

I have a thing for velvet clothes, and this looks really great. Definitely has a Gothic/Rock feel to it. I'm loving the zip at the back - gotta love zips! The mesh creates a good contrast in material against the velvet and adds a bit of sexiness to it. ;D Teaming it up with shorts would make it very casual and laid back, but still gives some elegance to your outfit. I can see it being really easy to switch up from a day to a night look. You could pair this with so much! I give the thumbs up for this. :)

Next up is this:

Not the cheapest thing on sale. If you're willing to splash out on this, at least you can assure yourself it's on sale and it's a lovely dress. ;) It's a doll-looking dress that is simple but is definitely an eye-catcher. I'm loooooving the patterns on it. The top having a contrasting pattern against the rest of the dress is a great design. It's a dress that dominates the outfit and needs no enhancements.

It's a very sweet and innocent looking dress. Maybe if you're thinking of dressing Lolita, but feeling nervous to go out with your style (I know that's an issue with a lot of people), this is a very toned down version to me. You could maybe add some Lolita elements, like accessories or wigs, that will probably garner a lot of attention, but it won't be so out there. I'll probably get killed for saying all this (uh ohs) and that Lolita is a way of life, okay that's great for you but it's also a fashion style and I know a lot of people have been harassed for dressing like that in places. Yeah, it's an awful world and I'm all for standing for your rights and doing what you want to do but not everyone has the confidence for that or wants to. So for someone who wants to try out the Lolita style, or want to mature into another style, this is great. Also, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the dresses anyway. :P Anyway, I hope I haven't offended anyone. Please let me know if this was a bit too far or anything and I'll correct my error if it's offending.

Ooft, that was a lot longer than intended. Anyway, another piece is:

Such a cute shirt! I love polka dots and shirts! Combined is even better! :D Okay so, you could probably find a cheaper version of this somewhere, but because I'm doing an UO Sale online window shopping session, this will be the one I'm suggesting. The denim will make it suitable for all seasons, and this is coming from someone who lives in a rather cold country with unpredictable weather. :P Although, the print is definitely something more for Spring and perhaps Summer. A great thing about shirts is that they go with soooo many clothes! Skirts, shorts, jeans, bottoms... I'm trying to go for something neutral that isn't trousers or pants because it confused the hell out of me when my flatmates from the states kept saying they were changing their pants and I thought, 'Oh, that's a bit tmi', but they meant their bottoms... yeah, and whenever I said trousers they didn't know what I was talking about. Okay, I'm deviating from the point now. :P Blue is a great colour that matches so many hair colours. Why do I mention this? I dye my hair every few months. I'm currently a redhead so my red clothes are hibernating for now. I mean I think if you have blue hair, if it depends what shade it is, I'm sure this could go too. I guess that's something up to you. ^^ This shirt is just so adorable, it reminds me of the sky and happy times, so if you need a bit of cheering up to your wardrobe, this would be a great addition!

This ended up being a lot longer than expected, but hopefully you can get a chance to check out their sale. Like I said, I'm not the biggest UO fan, but their sale is worth a look. You can probably get some real good bargains from there. Now I sound like a sales assistant... haha. :P Maybe you can see stuff you like and try to find a cheaper version elsewhere? ;) There, now I don't sound like I'm trying to sell! Anywaaaay, happy shopping, my lovelies! :)

New F21 Opening!

Finally! There's going to be a Forever21 in my city! I'm super excited because they always have clothes in my taste and they're very affordable. The first time I had ever been in a F21 store was when I visited London, and it was massive. The one opening up in Glasgow is massive too! Yay! :D

I'll be updating here on my first proper shop there, and hopefully I won't go over the top with my spending... heh.

So far, I've been looking on the website to get some inspiration and an idea of what I'd like for my Spring wardrobe. Here's a few items that have caught my eye so far:

I looooove florals! They make me so happy! :D This has lovely pinks that stand out against the black. I find it isn't too overwhelming with its patterns and colours, which is great! These would look great with a cute pair of shorts or jeans. ^^

I have a bit of an obsession for blouses and shirts, I have a growing collection so far. This is such a lovely looking blouse! Looks very soft in both material and colour! ^^ This would be lovely for both a casual and night time look. It would add a great pop of colour to an outfit that could be all black, or consisting of a palette of pastel or bright colours. Very suitable for Spring as it's a sheer blouse. Whoo~!

I hope these will be available in the new F21 or items similar! I can't wait to have a good wee look. :)

Offensive Hats

I'm a K-Pop fan, so I follow quite a lot of groups - one of which being SNSD or Girls' Generation. When they released their comeback single I Got a Boy, I was so in love with their outfits. On closer inspection, and what caused a lot of fuss, was a certain hat Sunny wore:

WELCOME MOTHERF*CKERS

Omg, I found this absolutely hilarious! I was a bit shocked because it's SNSD and they're probably the least offensive ladies out there, but hahaha their hats are too brilliant! Did anyone else love how in the video they tried to cover it up?

I know what you're trying to hide, Seohyun!

Even Seohyun had one! Tiffany had a "Fucking Chanel" hat that was covered up to say "PinkKing":

Tiffany is PinkKing hot

This is so funny. Being the Sone that I am, I soooo wanted one of these snapbacks. They're by a Korean designer so all the sites you can get them from are in Korean, therefore I don't know how to order or can't. x__x Sad times.

I will get this hat one day, I swear. I will own it.

Shoe Orders

So, wanting a bit of retail therapy and much needed additions to my wardrobe (boots especially), I bought a couple of items from Schuh!

I've had quite a good experience with Schuh, and their shoes always make me drool whenever I go past a shop. I can never quite help myself but glue myself to their window, greedily looking at their shoe collection.

Anyhoo! I should receive them sometime this week, so I can do a proper review on them. But for now, this is what I ordered:

Wow! How amazing do these look? I've always been a sucker for these types of boots. I wanted a pair that added a bit of height that I could wear for both casual and night time looks. They'll go with a lot of clothes. ^^ So excited to get these babies!

Okay, so these aren't as unique as the boots and they're a brand that pretty much everyone has a pair of shoes from, but I wanted something colourful for Spring! My only other pair of Vans have bats on them, back from my emo days, haha! I've lusted for a pair of new Vans for ages, so it's justified I got some. These will definitely be great for all those casual outfits! Eeee~!

These are on sale, so now is definitely the time to grab a pair if you want them! You could also check out what else they have on sale. ^^

Hello!

Hi! :D
Thank you so much for checking out my blog! Hopefully you'll enjoy what I post. ^^

When it comes to fashion, even though I have my own individual style, I looooove many different styles. I'm inspired by many styles! Rock, Punk, Goth, Fairy Kei, Japanese and Korean fashion, 50's, and so on. Maybe we share similar fashion interests! :)
Anyway, although my blog looks empty right now, I want to get to work on updating it, so please bear with me. ^^;
